Hurricane Preparation for Residents of The Colony
Please take the time to review the Official Hurricane Guide for Pinellas County and identify your appropriate Shelters. Mobile homes are always in Zone A and must evacuate when required.
Also, if you are planning to leave The Colony – even for a week – please be sure that all items in your carports and/or around the exteriors of your mobiles – such as furniture, grills, flowerpots, planters, bicycles, etc. are placed inside your mobiles or sheds. This is to alleviate any concerns about collateral damage from items becoming airborne during a storm. Remember – if a 100 mph wind can move a car, it will definitely move flower pots, yard art, grills, patio furniture, etc.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
